  • Summary: Valentine's Day is coming around once again and soon all the in-game events for your favourite MMO's will be announced. Last year was rather exciting for MMO's as more and more companies launched their events. For those who may not have that special someone to spend the day with in the real world, you now have the chance to spend it with an online friend and not in just a sensual love kind of way. Developers are also offering events which encourage friendship, and not just love.

Valentine's Day is coming around once again and soon all the in-game events for your favourite MMO's will be announced. Last year was rather exciting for MMO's as more and more companies launched their events. For those who may not have that special someone to spend the day with in the real world, you now have the chance to spend it with an online friend and not in just a sensual love kind of way. Developers are also offering events which encourage friendship, and not just love.

Games such as Cabal Online, Flyff, Pirates of the Carribean Online, Maple Story, D&D Online etc offered events, discounted items, free items and new quests for a limited time last year. All the big developers won't offer any less this year either. Developers such as Aeria, Blizzard, Disney, GamesCampus, GPotato, IGG, Nexon, Ntreev, OGPlanet, EA Games, and many others will offer these sorts of events every year.

Some of these events run for over a week, and there is much to look forward to. Even if you don't have anyone to share it with, and don't plan on it there is plenty for you as well. A lot of MMO's are offering free bonuses to players just for playing on that day. It can be free items or currency for the cash shop. Everyone can reap the rewards on Valentine's Day.

Celebrating friendship and love in MMO's goes a lot further than just sending gifts to your online friends and participating in the events with them, finding love within these games has become a very common thing within the last few years. There are many stories to share of how players met in real life and got married. Here are just a few of these stories:
