The game has recently implimented water shaders and released some screenshots of the new effects in action.

Juxta Worlds launched on December 20th 2009 with a fantasy themed world, with work on the science fiction themed world already in progress. The themed worlds will be added in as free expansions, so players will not have to purchase anything after the initial purchase of the game. Future world themes will include a 1920's mobster themed world, a cartoon themed world, and possibly a pirate themed world. All themes will abide by the same core system, so items from one world will be usable in other worlds. The games core design is to enable the players to play in any themed worlds available without the need to log in and out in order to switch between them.

Game Features:

  • A class/skill based hybrid system. Players will have the choice of three classes Explorer, Traveler, and Adventurer each with their own stat bonuses. This enables players to learn every skill available in the game with the only restriction being there level.
  • A costume and disguise system allowing players to change their looks temporarily into other creatures and races, opening the door to more role playing possibilities.
  • Pet system allowing the players to have pets. This system includes more than just animal pets, but other npc's like elementals and skeletons. This system includes leadership related pets like the Albury Soldiers, and even Orc Warriors.
  • Auction/Mail system allowing players to send and sell items to each other.

  • Consensual PvP and PvP specific zones.
  • Faction system allowing players to ally with any side they wish.
  • Flying combat allowing players to fight while in the air.
  • Unique music/bard system allowing players to play and create their own music either by using the abilities learned through skills manually or through the macro system. While at the same time buffing or possibly annoying other party members depending on how musically inclined they are.
  • Crafting and Harvesting system allowing players to harvest components used to create items.
  • A single player mode allowing players to play without the need for an internet connection, internet is only needed for client updates, or to connect with the Juxta Worlds chat server.
