How time flies! The year 2009 is coming to an end, and the year 2010 is waving at us! Every time a new year starts, we are prone to look back into the past and look into the future as well. For MMO players, the year 2009 was not a very satisfactory year. While there were many online games strongly promoted by producers and highly anticipated by players, few of them carried out tests and lived up to players' expectations. At this point, many players can only look into the unknown year which is to come instead. As the recent news shows, 2010 is very likely to be a busy year, when great projects made by various game producers will jump into the MMO market successively. Specifically, the famous Blizzard recaps for WoW which have, greatly aroused the attention of the 1,200,000 WoWers; NCsoft which, keeping its high-end style, announced that it may carry out tests for its two important projects in 2010; and BioWare, the outstanding console game company, which is also going to give the audience a big surprise by means of the MMO version of Star Wars co-developed with LucasArt. Game producers compete with each other fiercely, while players sit still waiting for their desired games. As we know, pressure usually gives us an impetus. The severe competition forces game producers to come up with new projects continuously, and-only in this way, can those games that are meaningless and simply mean to serve as tools for making money be pushed out of the market, which is what players would like to see.

Best MMORPGs of 2009
AION
Though Aion failed to take the crown from World of Warcraft, many players are satisfied with the fresh air in The Tower of Eternity. The graphics of this game are simply breathtaking and take your gaming experience to a completely new level. Nevertheless, only graphics cannot make a game, and AION certainly has its own outstanding merits. Many factors achieved AION, such as customizable character appearance, Hybrid of PvP/PvE Content, freaking wings and NCsoft's superior genes. One flaw cannot obscure the splendor of the jade, though the game is in a spot of bots and gold farmers. It is worth naming AION here and you may get to try.

Game Features
AION is a massively multiplayer online game featuring antagonistic relationships between angels, demons and a server-controlled NPC faction, the Dragons and powered by The Crytec™ game engine. Your role in this war is pivotal; every action and decision meaningful and important. Fate rests on your shoulders and you determine the evolution of Aion's™ story through brutal warfare, brilliant strategy and political power.

Character customization
The character creation system allows customization such as adjusting the height, weight and scale of various body parts. Different hair styles, skin colors, facial textures and voices can also be chosen. Further detailing can be found in the selection of eye shape and color, nose shape, ear size and shape and tattoos for the character's face and body.
The game will allow a player to dye their equipment to change its color and to change the graphics of one weapon or armor to that of another that they have in their inventory. This allows a player to display equipment graphics of items which they find visually appealing, while benefiting from the actual stats of different weapons or armors. Players can only change the graphics of a piece of equipment to that of another piece of equipment of the same type.
This adds another layer of customization (as it allow players to control the look of their avatar without sacrificing the better stats of an item that they find visually unappealing and strategy to the game.

PvPvE
Other online role-playing games have PvE - player versus environment: fighting computer-controlled monsters and PvP – player versus player: human-controlled characters fighting each other.
For the first time in the MMORPG genre, Aion™ brings these two game features together in an evolving and seamless system. PvPvE manages the complex relationships and alliances between realms, races and guilds; it also controls the mighty Dragons, a non-player faction and a common enemy to all players, regardless of faction.
