1. CryEngine
I think everyone will agree that this is the most powerful engine for PC games. From Farcry(CryEngine) to Crysis(CryEngine2), the engine crowned the video game market. What about CryEngine in MMO? Aion, under CryEngine, did give us a surprise when the first time we see it, but when you play it you will find the developers didn't make good use of the engine. The water looks beautiful and the vegetation is also good, but the shadow and light effect is unsatisfactory. Besides, the physics effect should have been better because it's ridiculous that you can directly pass through all of the creatures' bodies but stopped by some plants on the ground.
