NCsoft's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jaeho Lee told investors during company's Q3 2009 earnings conference call that Guild Wars 2 and Blade & Soul will be expected announced in 2011, according to Eurogamer.net.
"I believe there will be certain public events in the year 2010... at least a closed beta test for those titles. Commercialization will be expected, at this point, probably some time in the year 2011," Lee said.
That is to say we may enter Guild Wars 2 and Blade and soul in 2010 for a close beta to have a sneak peek but it is not carved in stone yet.
Jaeho Lee also was asked about the issues of Aion. He said that NCsoft have confidence to avoid the decline of players number after 30 days of free gametime because they prepare some new content and activities of Aion in 2010. Listen the Q3 2009 earnings conference call from NCsoft.
...Aion's success will be with the next quarter after the initial 30 days of free gametime has worn off for those nearly a million boxes that were purchased at launch and players decide if they will be sticking around for just a bit longer. As we have learned from other games such as Age of Conan and Warhammer Online, initial sales are only as good as the game's long term viability.
