NCsoft's Q3 Revenue Rose Ninefold!

According to Korean RPG companies' Q3 2009 financial report, NCsoft stood at $39.8 million during the three months ended on Sept. 30, compared with $4 million a year ago. The more than ninefold rising is led by the Aion upsurge in NA, EU and Japan. NCsoft said their sales in North America doubled on-quarter to around $20 million while those in Europe quadrupled to $15 million. The 3Q bottom line marked the highest quarterly net profit.

Then we take a look at some other Korean companies' Q3 performance. CJ Internet earned 6 million in Q3 and decreased by 1.2%. But they are confident in the Q4 performance with the their new game Dragon Ball Online. Webzen began to make profit in Q3( they suffered from deficit for the last 4 months) with the income from S.U.N and Huxley. Then about NHN, their income of Q3 was $91 million from videogame sales which topped among all Korean companies though dereased by 4% compared to Q2.

Could Aion bring NCsoft fly high, and higher?

At last we take a look at two giants in the world - Activision Blizzard and Square Enix. Activision Blizzard's net profit in Q3 was $703 million in net revenue. Square Enix's revenue in videogame sales in Q2 and Q3 was $533 million. Since Activision Blizzard and Square Enix's products cover both offline and online games and available on multiple platforms, you should just take it as a reference.
