This may be a "miracle" in MMOG's history. Aurora Technology, a subsidiary of Shanda and is responsible fore publishing Aion and Dungeon and Dragons Online recently annouced a new function in game - Gender Identity System. With this system, players who wants to creat a female character will be asked to pass a webcam test at first. Male players who play female charachters will be banned after being checked.
King of the World, a game already took gender identity system.
Aurora explained that they cut out the middleman in the equation to prevent gender-bending cheaters. And they believed that restoring player's real gender can make female players feel respected.
