Korea-based game producer Dragonfly has recently announced that it will take over the development of King of Fighters Online and Samurai Shodown Online both formerly developed by its branches.
Lam Hyoung Chu, director of Dragonfly, expressed in the press conference held in Taegu, South Korea on Nov. 1 that, both the developer of King of Fighters Online - Tripple A and that of Samurai Shodown Online - BlueDragon were found having problems in the development fees after the recent audit, and the development work went not so perfectly either. It was the two factors that forced Dragonfly to take over the development of the two projects. Lam Hyoung Chu also disclosed that they'd started to develop the two games again and the two's commercial launch schedules they had agreed upon with SNK Playmore would not be affected. Actually, some staff from SNK have recently visited South Korea and achieved a successful consultation with Dragonfly.
The 3 new online games once developed by Dragon's branches with license from SNK will be directly developed by the parent company - Dragonfly itself instead. Early in July, 2009, Dragonfly took over from Wizhands and got responsible for the development of Metal Slug Zero Online.

According to Dragonfly, they are forming dev teams for King of Fighters Online and Samurai Shodown Online. They will first analyze the game codes created by the branches and later begin the development. Though all the game content has to be started over again, Dragonfly is still confident enough to say that there should be no problem in reaching the agreement signed with SNK.
As for the future of Tripple A and BlueDragon, Lam Hyoung Chu expressed that they had not made any related decisions and both of the two wouldn't sell shares. He said that Tripple A and BlueDragon would still be the branches of Dragonfly. Additionally, he added that Dragonfly would offer its branches 100% development fees in the future, so that there would not be any problems in this respect.
