C9 - Free item appeared in the Item Mall

Incident Description: Rune of Revival that is a must when players die in an instance is priced at 1300 Korean Won originally in NHN's MMORPG C9. Surprisingly, it was priced at 0 Korean Won on October 7th. Therefore, tons of players rushed to buy it, which lasted for about 30 minutes.

Official response: the official temporarily banned all accounts that made a purchase and retrieved the lost items. As compensation, each account was given 5 Runes of Revival for free.

Comment: Such incidents are almost resulted from the official's carelessness. Sigh! The official only compensated players for banning them with five Runes of Revival! No wonder the official forum was over-flooded!

Dark Portal - Bug item given by the official

Incident Description: One player lost his in-game item and asked the official to retrieve it. But the official gave the player an item that didn't exist in the game. Although the player pointed it out, the official didn't want to spend much energy dealing with it, so both sides only signed a secrecy agreement. However, truth came to light finally and a real hoo-ha was caused by the Bug item.

Official response: The official took the Bug item back and made an apology.

Comment: How could the game company give a Bug item and sign a secrecy agreement with the player? So absurd! Who dares to play the company's game later? Who can ensure that nobody else has any other secret Bug items?

WOW - A player turned into a GM, making havoc in Ironforge

Incident Description: Chinese World of Warcraft was filled with Bugs after the update of The Burning Crusade in 2008. Due to a certain Bug, a player suddenly had the attributes of a GM, with the GM's undying body, that player charged into Ironforge and creating various troubles there. Later he even went to other cities and got a rise out of other players and NPCs continually.

Official Response: The official temporarily froze the player's account and then recovered the character's original attributes.

Comment: It is rare to find such Bug. Luckily the WOW GM had no other power in the game, otherwise the whole game would be raised a rumpus.
