KeyWord: Guild Wars 2, preview, Review, what to expect
- Summary: This is a Guild War 2 preview made by MMOsiter. We would like to recommend it to you: There will be something called 'World PvP'. The levels will be on a large scale and take a bit of time to complete(Somewhat like the raids or instances). You can team up and take control of guard towers or take over a castle. This in time will help your world as a whole and increase drop rates and help with energy regeneration.

Guild Wars 2 pre-Review: what to expect By Blackslash Welcome to my home @ MMOsite. My name is backslash . It's Really nice to see you here, and I think we'll be good friends soon. Come and join us! |
Storyline
The game takes place in the Guild Wars fantasy world of Tyria, 250 years after the players
defeat the Great Destroyer in the Eye of the North expansion. Five elder
dragons, sleeping beneath the continent, have awoken causing widespread
destruction to Tyria and corrupting its inhabitants. The once dominant human
race is in decline, new races have been discovered while others are displaced,
major cities have been destroyed and some rebuilt, access to areas introduced in
the Guild Wars expansions has been cut off. The advancement of time is reflected
in the changes in culture, including armor and clothing as well as in the
advancement of in-game technology. Your main job is to find and destroy the
evil Zhaitan dragon out of the 4 others.

FAQ answered by yours truly, backslash
1) When is Guild Wars 2 going to be released?
There is no set date for when Guild Wars will finish. Most of the Guild Wars community including i believe somewhere around summer of 2010. But don't quote me on that, because they might even take longer.
2) Why do they keep delaying the date?
I truly believe they are doing this to make sure people stay and not leave after playing for a short time. As WoW grasps onto its players by its ever-expanding abilities and maps, so will Guild Wars 2. As stated by Arenanet "Guild Wars 2 is the largest project ArenaNet® has ever undertaken". Also by that time WoW fans will get bored of the same old repetitive gameplay and Guild Wars will surely catch their eye.
3) When can we start playing the Beta?
Though Guild Wars one was beta tested 2 months before its release, Arenanet has stated it has its own private beta testers. But dont be dissapointed because there will also be a public 2 day beta soon before its release.
4) Will my character be able to play with other races?
Yes, all characters will be able to interact and go on missions with one another. Henchmens are still available but there is now a vast amount of ways to play missions by mixing up different races for effects.
5) Will there be a subscription fee for Guild Wars 2?
No. Just like the original Guild Wars there wont be a subscription fee. But keep in mind paying fifty dollars for the game and another 50 dollars for expansions really adds up.
6) What about Graphics and will they work on mid-range PC's?
They havent officialy been announced but they said they are committed to having beautiful scenary just like Guild Wars, but also make it playable by average computers.
7) Can I play my original Guild Wars character in Guild Wars 2?
No. Guild Wars 2 is a totally different coding method so there would be no way for them to transfer characters. Character names will be reserved from original Guild Wars characters. Also, there is talk about redeeming your honor points earned in the original game.
8) Will it be the same 8 skill attack combo?
that my friend is a good question. There is so little information given to the guild wars community about Guild Wars 2 that we quite dont know yet. Though some information is leaked the answer to the combo system is still a rumor. We will just have to wait and see.
