Showgirl Over-revealing? Cut Off Your Power

Sexy show girls will not debut in G-Star 2009 like in G-Star 2008. Korea Culture and Content Agency (KOCCA) and Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA), which are responsible for G-Star 2009, have recently released the "Guide for G-Star 2009 Exhibitors". Detailed rules for the clothing of show girls assigned by exhibitors are also specified in this Guide.

» Those violating the clothing rules for 3+ times will be punished by cutting off the power supply.

According to the Guide, participants of G-Star 2009 like show girls and those giving cosplay shows are not allowed to wear excessively revealing clothes such as bikinis and something similar to underwear. Their trousers or skirts should also be long enough to cover their pelvises.

Additionally, this Guide specifies that the upper clothes of each show gril should also be designed to cover at least 1/3 of her back.

Any exhibitor found violating the rules will receive a verbal warning at first. Those who violate the rules for more than 3 times will be punished by cutting off the power supply. The hosts even have rights to require such exhibitors to remove their exhibition stands.

» Adults - only contents are restricted to be displayed.

In addition to the rules for show girls, this Guide also imposes strict restrictions on the adults-only contents.

Any attendee who wants to display adults-only contents is required to assign a staff beside the entrance of the stand, as well as to arrange a wall to avoid the contents shown inside the stand being seen by visitors.

Such measures are taken by the hosts of G-Star 2009 to protect the event from being called "Girl Star" again.

According to the principal of KOCCA, the related clothing rules made last year have been applied to G-Star since 2008, so as to help G-Star avoid being called "Girl Star". The principal also expressed his thanks for all others' understanding.

G-Star 2009 will be held at BEXCO in Busan and will last 4 days from Nov. 26 to Nov. 29. Blizzard and MGAME will attend this event for the first time. Some other Korean game companies like NHN, NEXON, NCSOFT, NEOWIZ GAMES, CJ and WEMADE will also be among the exhibitors.
