Plants of AION in Real Life

Being a fantasy MMO, the world of AION is occupied by many grotesque or splendid plants. You may think they are from the imagination of game designers. In fact, many exotic plants in AION have their prototypes in real life.

This is the plant only visible on the Asmodians’ land. It is nicknamed by the players as big cap tree, for its huge crown. It seems a creation of sheer imagination, only existing in the game designer’s mind. However, to everyone’s surprise, it really exists in the real world.

The Socotra Island in Yemen is densely dotted by this kind of big cap tree. It is world famous as a great marvel. The portrayal of this tree in AION is an almost perfect duplication.

Somewhere in Elysea, the palm-like trees make up the beautiful scenery. Under the sunshine, the soft wind blows from the sea and brings the gentle flow of water. The entire environment simply coincides with the real one in which palm trees flourish.

In the south, the palm tree is all too common. You can find it anywhere close to the sea.
