5. There are three unique and fresh classes, the Destroyer, the
Alchemist, and the Vanquisher in the game. Can you tell us more about their
special abilities?
We're proud of these three character-classes,
they are fun to play! The Destroyer is a big brute who will seriously mess his
enemies up - he's a melee class, all brawn, mean and skilled. The Destroyer
skills include a stomp that knocks all surrounding enemies to the ground with a
stun effect, and sword swipes that cleave everyone in his path.
The
Vanquisher is our ranged class, a low level member of the elite city guards far
away. She fights with a bow, gun, or sword. Particularly fun are unique arm
canons with fast attack speeds that explode enemies into bits upon
impact.
The Alchemist is also ranged but also a spell-caster in the low
technology model. He relies on gadgetry and magic, electroshocking enemies with
blasts from his glove or teleporting out of harms reach-- a skill that also
stuns attackers.
All three character-classes can use melee or ranged
weapons, and learn spells. They also have several skills in common that swords
or guns alike can wield. One is the teleport. Another is the ember lance, a beam
of energy like a laser that cuts through enemies.

6. Can you tell us something about PVP and PVE system in
Torchlight?
The MMO will feature fast paced combat for both PVP
and PVE. You can hunt monsters either solo or in groups, and there will be a
territory control system for PVP.
7. And what are the rewards and
encouragements for PvPvE?
There will be rewards, but these
haven't been ironed out. We won't start work on the MMO in earnest until the
single player ships.

8. Do you prepare a gift for a devotee of
solo?
We want to make sure there is a way to reward people who
bought the single player game who then also play the MMO. We haven't worked that
out yet since the models are very different, but it would be really nice to be
able to give owners of the single player an in-game reward. It's definitely
something on our minds.
9. Can you tell us something about your
unique pets and mounts system?
For the single player we have two
pet options - a wolf and a lynx. Your pet accompanies you through the dungeons
helping fight enemies. They will also pick up loot and even go back to town to
sell it so you don't have to, and you can transform them into other creatures
with all their abilities (this is in conjunction with the fishing
mini-game).
We would like to do mounts in the MMO.

10. Will some elements of eastern culture such as environment,
dungeons, characters be added to the game for Asian market?
We
will definitely be adding more options, greater customization of characters,
many more tilesets, an overworld, and much, much more for the MMO, in line with
traditional MMO offerings.
11. What's your plan in
future?
To be sued for making games so addictive, players lose
their real-life jobs. Not really. But kinda.
