Would WoW Clone be Replaced by Aion Clone in the Days to Come?

NCsoft indeed put a lot of efforts in promoting AION, its master title that has entered its sixth closed beta. Now, various keys-give-away campaigns have pushed AION to an unprecedented new height. WOW, the current King of MMORPG, has been busily protecting its throne as well by releasing updates for its second expansion pack released last year. This means WOWers are expected to initiate a new round of BOSS-beating competition again.

The graphics of WOW, the dominating MMOPRG at this moment, cannot, of course, be ranked as terrible. This argument, actually, can be supported by the fact that many players put its snapshot of in-game picture with all effects on as wallpaper. However, when compared with the emerging AION, it's slightly inferior. Based on U3 engine, the graphics of AION that vividly presents the characteristics of various terrains and even the texture of items can practically top that of all other games. WOW is relatively rough when it comes to character appearance. Besides diversified gears, the only differences between WOW characters are hair style and skin color. AION, on the other hand, has an amazing and highly flexible Character Customization System which creates every character a unique one. It is said that in AION, even the number of character's hair can be counted. (Of course, this is at the cost of high-performance graphic cards.)
