MMOs just like a small society that all kinds of people live in and all kinds of things happen. Here I chose 8 WTF things in MMOs in order to share you with slices of my experience in the gameing world.
1. Connection failed
In single player games you can save your game any time in case of unexpected things happen. In MMOs, when you almost finish an instance, or when you nearly kill a boss your connection failed. What's your reaction in light of all your efforts were in vain, what can you blame for? Then on the other hand, your connections are good but those who go with you suddenly disappear from your vision, what can you say?

Connection failed - WTF!
2. Cheating in games
Cheating is shame but still a commonly method for someone when playing games. Some people use bots for acceleration. And some even in god mode in PvP. You want to show your top weapon to a newbie but killed the weakest character in the world in a second; can anything bring you more rage than that? Yes, there is something, the company didn't take enough measure to stop that.

Cheating - A popular game will certainly has more cheats
3. Characters deleted
If you didn't do any stupid thing that prohibited by the game, and your characters were deleted, or simply became inaccessible. Your accounts were not stolen by others but by the company. In WoW, this is so normal; you can read the article about WoW players' ID got suspended here. Now you have lived harmoniously with the game company but your characters still got deleted. It's not stolen by the company this time but by your parents. Another article about that here.

What if your top level characters were gone?
