On August 18, China issued a report on pupils' Internet conducts. However, game is the main reason for Internet addiction. The survey shows that "7.1%" pupils are "Internet addicts", and 5% are prone to get addicted.

As for parents' attitudes towards the Internet use, 12.8% visited parents forbid their children to use the Internet, while more than 60% impose certain restrictions. In most families, there's at least one parent using the Internet. And with respect to children's Internet use, parents usually "provide proper advice and communicate with their children actively". 30.9% parents think that "Internet addiction caused by games" is the greatest threat arising from the network, and 28.6% parents worry that the Internet would have their children "waste time and neglect studies". Therefore, parents hope to make use of both the recreational and educational roles of the Internet. 40.2% parents wish to establish the sites "containing education in amusement, with education and entertainment combined together". And "those without Internet addiction" seem to take a more active attitude towards the construction of "special websites for kids".

From this report, we can say that Chinese parents are comparatively liberal. It is more rational to give proper guidance to children in terms of Internet use than keep children away from XBOX or other video games. In addition to online games, there are still many other attractions existing in our daily life, which can affect children's growth. So, why not take advantage of online games to educate children, and have children learn how to properly protect themselves from attractions and addition? Actually, playing games appropriately can also help children gain more experience and train their brains.
