Hi, all! I am Richard Moon, a producer
for the online game Mini
Fighter. I am pleased to have the opportunity to write and meet MMOSITE.COM readers.
All
excitement and thrills aside, I must start out by giving you a brief overview of
Mini Fighter and Netmarble.com,
the free online games portal where you can play Mini Fighter.
I will give
you the bigger picture first: Netmarble.com is a free online games portal run by
CJ Internet Corp. In South Korea, it is operated under the name of
Netmarble.net. It boasts a user base of more than 20 million people, and nearly
200 online game titles are currently in service. It is arguably the leading
online games portal in Korea.
Netmarble.com took its first baby steps
toward global service on July 16th. In less than a month, users from almost 80
countries have signed up to become a member of Netmarble.com, and I believe this
shows their keen interest in our games. Netmarble.com offers its community a
variety of services, including blogs, a message board, and built-in instant
messaging so that gamers from around the world can freely share their ideas and
opinions on the games they enjoy.
Now I'd like to fill you in on what
Mini Fighter, the first online game title published by Netmarble.com, is all
about. Mini Fighter's 1st Closed Beta (CBT) ran from July 23rd to August 3rd.
Our goal during the 1st CBT was to let players get a taste of the game's content
by providing access to features like Single Battle and Team Battle, features
which will demonstrate the highlights of Mini Fighter gameplay.

I am proud to say that this focus on Battle Modes was well
received by our community. Although Mini Fighter has many in-game dungeons and
other types of game modes, which will be released in stages, focusing on battle
features for the 1st Closed Beta let users immerse themselves in the fighting
action of Mini Fighter.

It seems our efforts have paid off, as most of the users who
joined the 1st CBT praised the strategic side of the Mini Fighter gameplay,
saying it was something they couldn't experience in other similar battle games.
Each character has a very different set of skills, and players need to think and
plan how to tap into different combos for respective characters to deal blows
effectively.
We plan to release even more exhilarating features for the
upcoming 2nd Closed Beta, so please sign up if you haven't yet, and when we open
the doors for the next 2nd CBT you will be able to jump right in. Nothing is as
valuable as your participation in the game. Many a fighter awaits
you!
Okay, that's almost it, folks! I hope I have given you enough
information about CJ Internet's new global service, particularly about
NetMarble.com in the US, and about the success of Mini Fighter's 1st
CBT.
Next time, HC Shin, a producer at the Mini Fighter Development Team,
will walk you through the new Mini Fighter game modes that will be released in
the 2nd Closed Beta. In the meantime, thanks for your support.
