----- A Sadly Beautiful Story between Sylvanas and Arthas (Fan Fiction)

Sylvanas fell in the wildness of Tirisfal, her eyes reflecting the gray walls of Lordaeron. The cloudless sky was as dark as usual. Her fingers grabbed Frostmourne firmly, signs of blood flow already gone. Before she could speak out the name of Arthas, a beam arose from her belly and burst into the sky. Sylvanas could see nothing but darkness in Arthas' eyes. Arthas was wearing a motionless face. Bit by bit, he drew Frostmourne out of Sylvanas' body. Sylvanas struggled to reach for Arthas. Some shiny liquid was flowing from her cut, freezing as it reached the ground.

Arthas stopped. Holding Sylvanas' hand, he felt his heart was beating wildly. There was liquid flowing out of his eyes, the same liquid flowing from Sylvanas' body. However, it went purple after falling onto the ground. He knew nothing about the relationship between this female elf and himself. Why was his heart reacting so strongly? Why did tear-like drops flow out from his eyes? Sylvanas moved her lips, as was murmuring, but she had no strength to make any voice. Her eyes fixed on Arthas, as if they were frozen. Tears came out of her eyes, like human blood. With her blurred eyes, she seemed to see the prince who once made her cry. There was no living creature on this world that could see the tears from a high elf.

Tale of the Tears - Sylvanas

In Tirisfal, in front of the house of Prince Arthas, Sylvanas dropped her last tear, reddening the white Peacebloom. At this moment, Arthas seemed to remember something. He touched the blood-tears of Sylvanas, and the past things flooded his brain like a whirling wind. All of a sudden, he recalled everything: the ear-pointed female elf lying on the grassland, his great mentor Uther Lightbringer, their first meeting in Ironforge, and so on. Now he became aware that the dying creature in front of him was Sylvanas, the high elf lady who betrayed high elf to marry him, forsaking her life and dignity. Her only wish was to age and die together with the prince. She was longing for the rich sentiments of the human race, and she made it today. She was dropping human-blood-like tears.

Sylvanas' mouth curved upward at the corners. She only had a last wish - lie in the hands of Arthas, even for one second. Arthas wailed, and the sky resounded with his cry. All of his hairs went white instanctly. He lost all the human feelings when Frostmourne came to his hold. However, now, he took the life of the one he loved most deeply, with his own hands. Gnarling like a lion, Arthas tried to hold Sylvanas around his hands, but a great force bounced him off. He could not move any closer to Sylvanas. He knelt down, fingers stuck in the soil. The cursed blood slowly went to the land underneath, giving birth to some purple flowers, which flourished all around Sylvanas' body. These purple flowers were known as Arthas' Tears afterwards. Arthas gathered all his magic, including the barely remaining human spirit, to restore life to his lover's body. He was clearly aware that exhausting his last humanity would lead to his ultimate fall. However, he resurrected Sylvanas all the same. When Sylvanas opened her eyes once again, she was shocked by the scene: a white haired man howled and rushed toward Lordaeron. Was he her beloved prince? By this moment, Arthas had become a complete demon. He dropped the last human tear while restoring the life of Sylvanas, and became a mindless slave of the evil blade, Frostmourne. He might never again recognize Sylvanas as his bribe, unless someone scratched out his cursed heart with Frostmourne. Once again, the Scourge fell upon the land of Lordaeron, Frostmourne radiated its immense evil power, and bloodshed memory was awakened. Dear Prince Arthas, are you tearing?

Anecdote

Sylvanas used to be the best archer on Azeroth. She claimed she could hit a flying bird in the eye. She wields Sunstrider Bow — once owned by Dath'Remar Sunstrider, it was passed on to Sylvanas when she became the Ranger-General.

In Tempest Keep, the adventurers have a chance to get the Band of the Ranger-General, an epic item, once owned by Sylvanas.

Sylvanas is voiced by Piera Coppola.

In Latin, Silva means forest.

Appearance of Sylvanas

Although Sylvanas was actually a high elf, her model in World of Warcraft is a female night elf. This is because the blood elf models were made long after Sylvanas was created.

Although Arthas changed Sylvanas into a banshee when killing her, he put her soul back to her body afterwards. As a result, Sylvanas possessed the skills of both a banshee and a dark ranger.
