At the Developer Meet and Greet event held in Ncsoft Mansion, South Korea on June 30, the new content of Aion 1.5: Shadow of Balaurs scheduled to release in the coming summer was unveiled.

According to Aion Dev Team Leader Ji Yong Chang, as the title of this update implies, a lot of new Balaurs related content will be added in this update.

▲ First part of the update: four new instances

- The Darkling Poeta

The Darkling Poeta added in this update is the instance that can be entered through the Interdiktah teleport by Elyos and the Beluslan teleport by Asmodians. The update is set in the futuristic Poeta occupied by the Balaurs.

If the players want to enter this area, they have to get loots dropped from the defeated Balaur monsters and a certain amount of loots are required every time they enter this area. The loots can be traded between players.
After the players enter the Darkling Poeta, the system will start counting down, with a time limit of four hours. It's estimated that it will not be an easy battle. The players will be granted certain scores depending on the time they spend in this instance, which combined with the scores obtained from killing elite monsters, occupying strongholds, acquiring items, etc, will determine their grade ranging from Grade F to S. And what type of final BOSS they will meet will depend on your grade. Besides, the rewards you obtain from killing the BOSS monsters will also vary depending on the level of BOSS. It's said that the players can obtain hero items from killing BOSS monsters when they level cap.

After entering the Darkling Poeta instance, the points you obtain will appear on the screen, like the scores you acquire when you are playing an arcade game. The Darkling Poeta is suitable for lvl 50+ players. They can obtain Abyss Points from killing the Balaurs in the instance.
