As July nears, Grandia Online's beta test is also nearing its opening. I must say this is one of my most anticipated games in for the coming month because I am a big fan of the Grandia RPG when it was out in the PSone.

To those who are not familiar with the old RPG, the story of Grandia starts off like any other RPG story. However, unlike most RPGs, Grandia had a lot of features and game systems that made this one of the best RPGs in the old console.

Of course, Grandia is no Final Fantasy. However that is what makes the game great. It didn't have to prove to anyone that it's better than the Final Fantasy franchise therefore creating its own niche.

The good thing about what they're doing with Grandia Online is that it would seem that people who are not familiar with the 1997 game would still find it easy to enjoy the MMO. With the game being as a prelude to the PSone RPG, players would find it easy to understand and immerse them into the world.
