Grandia Online, co-developed by Gungho and Game Arts, is currently in its internal Alpha test phase. Since many of the employees in the company are Grandia fans, some basic features and gameplay content of the original game are retained to create a relatively consistent game world. The technical test in Japan has been confirmed to start on June 11th and last until June 14th.
On May 20th, Gungho Online Entertainment held a press conference at UDX Theater in Akihabala to announce its newly-developed game Grandia Online. 60 players, including the girl who publicized her private life online, attended the press conference, where Gungho Online Entertainment unveiled the related gameplay content and release schedule for Grandia Online.
Grandia Online is created based on the popular single-player game Grandia with many new elements added.

This online version inherits the world view of the original game. Some familiar elements such as Angel civilization, spirit stones, and Grandians will remain in the game, while the Riete race and the Moge race, which are two important characters in the past Grandian titles, will appear as NPCs this time. In addition, all the characters as well as the storyline will bring players a fresh feel. Adventure-themed storyline is the most remarkable feature of this game and its plots will advance and update in the way of Episode from time to time.
Pretty stupid how some people call this a WOW clone. I certainly understand that WOW is big in the US as the US have not evolved in the future mmo genre but do
understand that the art styles of Tera, Lineage 2, ZerA are very similar because it's KOREAN MODERN CONCEPT ART (fit in your head) just like WOW has very weird art styles, asians go for a very commercial and attractive look. I look forward to playing Tera since the gameplay looks wicked and the UI is plain and simple. If you are not into korean MMOs and only support games such as WOW then don't play. Though I'm sure TerA will set fire just like Blade & Soul will.
WoW is EQ clone its a fact do ur research if u think its not. And wow WAS the "shit" pre bc. Onyxia, Molten Core, BWL NAxxx 40 man raids were the BEST which made WOW the BEST MMORPG but since BC came it became a grindfest then blizzard decided 2 nerf the name 2 the ground ( no req to get into hyjal or black temple ) and now they just nerf'd the shit outa ulduar so GG blizzard 4 killing a great MMO but its not their fault its the QQing noobs that think game was 2 hard to play. Anyway Guild Wars 2 will kill WoW
Facebook, haha. Is that what Sony really thinks? Sorry, but they are wrong. Of course WoW will *eventually* be dwarfed by *something*. Game technology keeps evolving, graphics, gameplay, etc. One day it will be taken over by something. But not by a Facebook MMO. I'm sure that someone at Sony has a daughter that is like "All my friends and I are on Facebook!" and that affects their thinking, but the reality is, that isn't the lauchpad for the next big thing, just because it is a social place and you already have an account. You can make an account at a new game within 60 seconds, it's not a big deal to do so. It doesn't have to be somewhere you already have accounts. Plus, you are using Facebook for different reasons than to play games. There are a billion people there that have no interest in MMO's. Are Sony exects that ignorant?
Its so good to live in 2009. Some online games have really good graphics and psp games are also getting better this year(I have the psp (hahahaha!!!!))
a great article. your and my experience does not have much differences and i also like enjoying the game's sorroundings and doing quest with a group of people but having too much botters and cheaters really destroys my gaming experience. hee made a comment on Aion, as Beautiful as Before, Is Different to Me Now

I have played WoW for over 4 years and well it was fun for a few years it does get old going to the same places and instances over and over. I just want a new game to play with differnt style of play and differnt ways to get around in the game i played perfect world ewwww is all can say the flying mounts r way to slow !! and the grinding is endless ..... kinda like that..... i have been playing runes of magic its kinda like wow but a chas shop and no fees. the timed mounts kinda blow chunks. I am now playing Aion and let me tell you I LOVE IT !!! So much differnt then WoW TRUST ME I KNOW !!! I love the fact we can fly in the game and if it says no fly you can still fly hehehe and combat in the air is way better then FLFF !!! take it from some one who knows her MMO's I have played them all i will p2p Aion 14.99 is not bad i also got the open beta key from buying the pre order at gamestop !! so go befor there all gone ! peace love and fruit loops!
