According to an interview in Edgemagazine, former president Bill Clinton was offered a lead role in post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout 3. Specifically, Clinton was presented with the opportunity to play President Eden.

"Wouldn't that have been brilliant?" said Lev Chapelsky, general manager of BlindLight, a company that finds name-talent for video games. "You get to that point in game and you hear that voice in the ether coming from off-camera and you're like, 'I know that guy!'

Do a barrel roll

Sadly (or happily), the ex-prez turned down the gig. According to Chapelsky, Clinton's attorneys replied with brief but polite response: "The former president will not participate in one of your videogame products, thank you very much'.

Wow, what could have been, eh folks? You can't blame the prez for turning it down; it's a little beneath the dignity of a former world leader to be doing a voice over in a game, but still, Bill Clinton is such a strange guy sometimes, I'll bet he thought about doing it, and I'll bet he sent an assistant to GameStop for a copy of Fallout 3.
