TQ Digital has released a new expansion of Eudemons Online which was named The Divine Path. With the curiosity we connected Andy from TQ Digital to have an interview, who is in charge of the promotion of this new expansion.
MMOsite: Today we are so glad to have an opportunity to do an interview with Andy from TQ Digital about the new expansion of Eudemons Online: The Divine Path, which will be released in April. First of all, please make a brief introduction about yourself and the new expansion.
Andy: Hi, everybody. I am Andy from TQ Digital. Now I am in charge of the promotion of the new expansion of Eudemons Online, the Divine Path. It's great to be here today! Since its release in 2006, Eudemons Online has been doing pretty well on both the domestic and international markets. Currently we have published 5 language versions for this game. We announced the new expansion, The Divine Path, in February. Generally speaking, the theme of the expansion is about the well-known ancient Greek mythology. The Twelve Olympians will descend to the mortal world, and seek their chosen warriors among the top adventurers of Yartland.

MMOsite: Could you tell us why did you name the new expansion "The Divine Path"? What does the name imply?
Andy: Well, to explain this, I guess I have to start with the development of the game...which would be a long story...haha...Let me just be brief here...As everybody knows that Eudemons Online is inspired by the Greek mythology, which concerns gods and heroes, the nature, the origins and the significance of their own cult and ritual practice. The pursuit of Divine spirit is an adventure in itself and we'd like our players to experience it in our game and to discover more of the unknown world.
MMOsite: What about the storyline of the new update? How will it extend the storyline?
Andy: The storyline will be extended in a series of new quests, assigned by the Twelve Olympians. The adventurers will be able to explore the mysterious Divine Realm, and have a glimpse of stories behind these omniscient deities.
MMOsite: What special features does "The Divine Path" focus on? And what do you think will be the most impressive part of the expansion?
Andy: Well, in this expansion we have prepared several new features for our players, including new regions, new monsters, new skills and new quests... Among all these features, the most important one is the Apotheosis system, which can grant players with god-like power in the universe of EO.
MMOsite: In terms of the Godship, how many types of Godship will there be exactly? Why do we have to obtain the Godship? What are some of the benefits? Please talk about some details to our readers.
Andy: Sure. There are 4 types of Godship, representing the different characteristics of the Twelve Olympians: Passion, Valor, Wisdom and Loyalty. Adventurers are allowed to obtain only one Godship in their lifetime. The Godship does not simply equate to combat skills. It allows players to perform various community interactions. The Valor Godship can be utter monkey business, like turning someone annoying into a donkey or a doggy. With the Wisdom Godship, you can award other adventurers with extra experience, or even invincibility in battle. The Loyalty Godship can enhance the bond between you and your eudemons. Meanwhile, the Godship will help adventurers to learn different XP skills according to their class. With this divine XP skill, you can wreck havoc upon your opponents.

Pretty stupid how some people call this a WOW clone. I certainly understand that WOW is big in the US as the US have not evolved in the future mmo genre but do
understand that the art styles of Tera, Lineage 2, ZerA are very similar because it's KOREAN MODERN CONCEPT ART (fit in your head) just like WOW has very weird art styles, asians go for a very commercial and attractive look. I look forward to playing Tera since the gameplay looks wicked and the UI is plain and simple. If you are not into korean MMOs and only support games such as WOW then don't play. Though I'm sure TerA will set fire just like Blade & Soul will.
WoW is EQ clone its a fact do ur research if u think its not. And wow WAS the "shit" pre bc. Onyxia, Molten Core, BWL NAxxx 40 man raids were the BEST which made WOW the BEST MMORPG but since BC came it became a grindfest then blizzard decided 2 nerf the name 2 the ground ( no req to get into hyjal or black temple ) and now they just nerf'd the shit outa ulduar so GG blizzard 4 killing a great MMO but its not their fault its the QQing noobs that think game was 2 hard to play. Anyway Guild Wars 2 will kill WoW
Facebook, haha. Is that what Sony really thinks? Sorry, but they are wrong. Of course WoW will *eventually* be dwarfed by *something*. Game technology keeps evolving, graphics, gameplay, etc. One day it will be taken over by something. But not by a Facebook MMO. I'm sure that someone at Sony has a daughter that is like "All my friends and I are on Facebook!" and that affects their thinking, but the reality is, that isn't the lauchpad for the next big thing, just because it is a social place and you already have an account. You can make an account at a new game within 60 seconds, it's not a big deal to do so. It doesn't have to be somewhere you already have accounts. Plus, you are using Facebook for different reasons than to play games. There are a billion people there that have no interest in MMO's. Are Sony exects that ignorant?
Its so good to live in 2009. Some online games have really good graphics and psp games are also getting better this year(I have the psp (hahahaha!!!!))
Happy happy birthday MMOsite!
a great article. your and my experience does not have much differences and i also like enjoying the game's sorroundings and doing quest with a group of people but having too much botters and cheaters really destroys my gaming experience.
