A Glimpse of "Alternative to WoW" -- Alganon Trailer

In a video labeled "Asheroth Introduction" we get a glimpse of Quest Online's world of Alganon. From the thatch covered houses and cobblestone streets in Asheran, the scorched earth and screaming charred stumps of Dread Thresh, to the port of Sandshore with its stone statues and balmy weather. All in all, eight areas, some basic avatar movement and a peek at combat are shown, all laced with an original overture.
MMOsite recently did an interview with David Allen, CEO of Quest Online, where he touted Alganon as "the first viable alternative to World of Warcraft". What is your opinion of Allens comments in light of this video? Has David Allen bitten off more than he can chew, does Algonon have a chance against an established IP like WoW, or is this simply a case of calling out ones largest competitor in an attempt to maximize the number of people who will see ones product.
