Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot hinted that the French-based firm will set foot in the realm of MMOs and stated that their company has "big" online plans for the year 2009:
"We plan to launch at least two products, so I can't say yet what the impact of that will be. But we expect to make big launches on those two games. I don't think it will be huge, but it will be the start of a new trend that will accelerate later."

Ubisoft bought the company of World in Conflict (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) developer Massive Entertainment in November and intent to make it a step into online gaming. What's more, the company unveiled a develop plan for a Tom Clancy-branded MMO early in March.
