According to an interview with Wired at BlizzCon 2008, Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime has confirmed that Blizzard's next massively-mulitplayer-online project will not be another World of Warcraft, reported by 1UP.

"We're not trying to replace World of Warcraft with this new MMO," he says. "We're trying to create a differen massively multiplayer experience, and hopefully World of Warcraft will still be going strong when that one is released."
