Chris Taylor, one of the original Fallout game development staff at Interplay in 1994, has been called back to the new MMO development team as Lead System Designer for "Project V13", announced by Interplay's brand-new website www.interplay.com. It was developed over the last several months, and is designed to improve the company's communication with customers, investors, and partners.
"Project V13" is the working title of Interplay's next generation Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMO) currently in development, and suppose to be an Fallout MMO. Taylor joins other original Fallout team members on staff at Interplay's internal game studio, which recently opened an office in Irvine, Calif. Additional development staff members continue to be hired as the project ramps-up.
As Interplay sold the rights of Fallout to Bethesda Softworks, the company behind the upcoming Fallout 3 RPG, for 5.75 million USD, Interplay has to license the Fallout franchise once more.
