MyRosso has been established since January 2007 as a fully subsidiary of Gonzo Rosso Online KK Japan. Riding on the strength of GONZO brand, MyRosso aim to bring success into all of South East Asia. MyRosso now has 3 online games in its belt, RAN Online, Nostale Online and Warring State Online. They are hoping to launch some new titles such as Master of Epic, Tower of Druaga and Pandora Saga Online in the year 2008.
Recently we had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Lim Wei Lun, Vice President for Game Operation and Sales & Marketing for Gonzo Rosso, and let him show more details of MyRosso.
MMOsite: Hi, glad to talk with you. To start, can you basically introduce yourself and your company Myrosso to our readers?
Lim: Nice talking to you too. Firstly, I'd like to express my gratitude for given me a chance to introduce myself and my company to your visitors. My name is Mr. Lim Wei Lun, Vice President for Game Operation and Sales & Marketing for my company Gonzo Rosso, which is famously quipped as MyRosso. MMOsite: How many titles are you currently operating? What are they? Which one is your favorite and why?
Lim: Currently MyRosso has 3 games; we have Ran Online, Nostale Online and Warring State Online. My favorite will be all of them, I enjoyed the intense guild war and hack-slash game play of Ran Online, I'm smitten by the cute and vibrant world of Nostale Online and Warring State allowed me to make all sort of things which is fun especially when I'm in dire need of potion or medicine.
MMOsite: Can you talk something about GonzoRosso's new title Pandora Saga? Do you have any plan to you bring it into Southeast Asia? If yes, do you have any rough for closed beta and open beta schedule?
Lim: We are absolutely ecstatic on Pandora Saga Online too but we have other great games under our sleeves as well like Master of Epic, Tower of Druaga and many more. Let's just say for now we'd like to keep a secret but rest assured for MyRosso definitely going to give you all an updating-surprise pretty soon!!
MMOsite: It seems that Myrosso has a preference for Asian games. Are there some criteria for you to select a title to distribute? Have you considered distributing some western MMORPGs?
Lim: MyRosso do have one preference. But it's not necessarily Asian Games or Western Games. MyRosso main and only preference will be quality and responsible games. A game which worth while playing for our players. It's not point arguing which side of the world produces better games since we only dedicated ourselves to seek for the cream of the gaming industry.
MMOsite: I know you attended the 2008 ChinaJoy last month. What is your impression of the expo? Have you achieved your goals?
Lim: 2008 ChinaJoy was superb!! My impression? 10 out of 10! I do achieve my goals. That's why we are having this interview. (Laughing)
MMOsite: What are your future prospects for Myrosso?
Lim: My future is really simple. I hope MyRosso will be the leader for gaming industry for SEA in the sense of creativity, accountability and responsibility. I wish MyRosso, with our devoting teams will continue religiously strive for the star! That's before we set sail to conquer the world. (Laughing again...)
