Paul Barnett, the creative director of highly anticipated MMO Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, was interviewed by IGN at GC 2008 in Leipzig to talk about Mythic and it#DY#s MMO games.
"We have a three year plan of what we#DY#re doing," said Barnett, "assuming a road to success, which we are, assuring glorious war, which we#DY#re going to get, and we have three years worth of where we#DY#ve decided where we#DY#re going. We have two years after that of what#DY#s sort of like what#DY#s more smoky and I suppose we#DY#re going in this direction, and it#DY#ll just keep rolling like that all the way through."
So what are some of the specifics of the plan? "I guess if I told you, Jeff Hickman (senior producer for WAR) would karate kick that door, come in here, and then you would have an interview where you#DY#d have to explain what it was like seeing his boots, which have leather flames, being pressed on my throat. We#DY#re not talking about the expansion, other than we have relentless meetings about it. It#DY#ll be awesome, obviously."
Likely expansions and then blocks of free content updates, then? "Mythic has a long history of good, solid, free supporting content. They#DY#ve always done that and they#DY#ll continue to do that. That#DY#s the plan."
