Paul Barnett, the creative director of highly anticipated MMO Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, was interviewed by IGN at GC 2008 in Leipzig to talk about Mythic and it's MMO games.
"We have a three year plan of what we're doing," said Barnett, "assuming a road to success, which we are, assuring glorious war, which we're going to get, and we have three years worth of where we've decided where we're going. We have two years after that of what's sort of like what's more smoky and I suppose we're going in this direction, and it'll just keep rolling like that all the way through."
So what are some of the specifics of the plan? "I guess if I told you, Jeff Hickman (senior producer for WAR) would karate kick that door, come in here, and then you would have an interview where you'd have to explain what it was like seeing his boots, which have leather flames, being pressed on my throat. We're not talking about the expansion, other than we have relentless meetings about it. It'll be awesome, obviously."
Likely expansions and then blocks of free content updates, then? "Mythic has a long history of good, solid, free supporting content. They've always done that and they'll continue to do that. That's the plan."
