Chinese cosplay representatives DiyuHudiewan and Zi won the Runners-up Award in the World Cosplay Summit (WCS)! It started a new boom among animation fans all over the country after the perfect ending of 6th ChinaJoy Cosplay Carnival on 19th July. This is the first time for Chinese team getting an award in WCS.

Selecting contest of WCS in China was through the way of picking up players from leagues that attended ChinaJoy Cosplay Championship. There were 430 leagues from 13 cities, 20 players of 10 leagues finally competed for the WCS qualification. According to Chinese and Japanese raters' opinions, DiyuHudiewan and Zi came from the league called "Heaven's Door" from Nanjing got the qualification, and finally they won the Runners-up Award in WCS on 3rd Aug.

Winner: Brazil "Blowout Angel"
Runners-up: China "Warring State Basara"

Though it was nearly midnight when the WCS championship was finished, after the results were put out on C3 bbs, numerous cosplay fans came to celebrate the fabulous award DiyuHudiewan and Zi got through the bbs.

On 6th Aug, Global News of CCTV-2 reported the competition of Chinese players' participation in Japan. The award we got shows that the Chinese cosplay culture had become more and more mature, and had left deep impression with our own feature to the raters and audiences in the cradle land of cosplay culture.
