The 2008 Olympic Games has started in Beijing, China, August 8th. Folks are all immersed in a festival atmosphere even in the game world. An Olympic Games event started in the MMORPG World of Warcraft called 'Tabard & Pet'! You can get the special tabard and Chinese dragon under the ways below:

1. To get the new tabard, you only have to play one battleground. Winning or losing doesn't matter, if you stay for the duration of the battle you will be mailed a Competitor's Tabard.

2. To get the new pet, you must defeat your rivals in any of the Battlegrounds. With every victory, there is a chance that a Gold Medallion will be mailed to you.

This event goes live August 8th at midnight server time and lasts until the 25th. The tabards are permanent and maybe you can't get another chance to get one until next Olympic Games start. By the way, the pet Chinese Dragon was not a combat pet but just like all the other flavour-pets that you can't give it a name. The name of the dragon is 'Spirit of Competition'.
