MMOsite: Hi, Loveforever, glad to have a chance to do an interview with you. First, congratulations you have been awarded MMOsite Elite Moderator in MMOsite Biweekly Star Event. How do you feel about it?
Loveforever: I#DY#m a bit excited but but get this as positive :) I#DY#m happy to be chosen.
MMOsite: How did you come to know MMOsite Forum? When did you start your role as a MMOsite forum moderator? How do you understand the role and do you enjoy it?
Loveforever: One day that i was looking for a Game to play and i used google and typed here MMORPG or something like this and what i have to be seen after typing, mmosite.com xD ...And then, it was easy to find the forum button on the navigation bar xD I dont remember the exact that but for 2 years i think i#DY#m forum moderator here.The role is simple, MMOsite is charming me; i have good contact with the staffs and all the community here and that makes me love MMOSite and if you love something you enjoy the time you spend with it and if you enjoy your time on MMOSite, you can do your moderating job pretty good, with love xD
MMOsite: Do you have any unforgettable experience or moving stories in MMOsite?
Loveforever: Experiences... Yeah, i think i have some of it but i don#DY#t know what kind of an experience you exactly want to hear from me. So, lets talk about the experiences about winning prizes :D. As usual, again one day there was an event and i applied. I Filled a form and sent it to MMOSite contest. After a little time, adam announced the winner list and yeah that was my name " Loveforever - Logitech Keyboard Winner :P ". The First Place reward was a Graphich Card and Logitech Keyboard was the Second Reward.Woot, i was so happy ;) I contacted adam to claim the exciting prize,we both have given big effort; amazon.com wasn#DY#t shipping it to my adress...I was about to cry, we tried different web sites too but the result didn#DY#t change. I couldn#DY#t get the exciting keyboard and when i was about to give up, - i think adam was still trying different ways - i have received an e-mail from contest MMOSite.
It was saying, they couldn#DY#t send keyboard to this adress but if i want to receive a reward that not require to be shipped, i could receive it. That was good...What do you think now ? I#DY#m thinking about game time cards xD At this time i was playing Lineage 2 and i would like to play it for free ofcourse.
First i was about to cry but then the things have changed and the good starting story has ended good, when i received bunch of time cards xD. I thank again to adam for all the efforts he give.
Another Prize story, Metherlance wins a reward from MMOsite and tries to claim his reward on forums. We are also reading his posts, and we say Woot. xD
Then, something goes not so verywell, i dont remember exactly. Maybe delays at deliver or Metherlance makes panic because of getting too much excited and writes a few comments and excites us too while makes us wondering about the prize xD and a few days later we see a very big article posted in forum by metherlance...Includes a picture of a Necklace, the shipping box of it, the pack of it and much more.
Honestly the Neckalce was really cool, a silver one xD. Again i congratulate him xD
MMOsite: Does the role of moderator give you a great sense of accomplishment? Do you have any tips of being a good moderator?
Loveforever: Yeah it does give the sense of accomplishment, especially when you give effort in a regular basis, you start to achieve lots of things and you become a well moderator.
As a tipp i can say, don#DY#t worry, as long as you are intented to make your responsiblity well, you will recognize everything will start to become easier. Moderating is related with real life and think that MMOSite is a place you live in. If you are intented to be good, then you will be acting good. MMOSite is kind of a place that, where you be good, the others also be good to you. You will find a very good community here, once you can find yourself and define your place in this community.
MMOsite: Does the moderator job affect your daily life? And how do you keep a balance between them?
Loveforever: Thats a very good Question. Moderating time is related with your gaming time.If you can find time to play game, then you are a gamer and MMOSite is the place where the gamers meet.
Forums are a need of gaming. You can#DY#t enjoy a game by pure playing.If you are playing for relaxing and enjoying your time, talking with the gaming community will be a part of your gaming time.If you have time for gaming, little or much its dependet with your living style,then you have also time to participate on community events. Thats my view, my gaming comprehension.
Balancing the time, how much to spend on gaming, how much with work, how much with other stuff etc... Is dependet with you. It can change from day to day.But balancing the gaming time and moderating time is something more steady. If you play a lot then you will find more time to spend on forums. For an example, you have played 2 hours and you have given a break 20 mins, you#DY#ve prepared tea in this 20 mins and rested. So, while drinking your tea, you can hang on the forums, or talk with your kids xD and look at the forums for a while before starting to play for another period.
