The battlefield of Golden Plains, shrouded in a gloomy veil, the seemingly perpetual dusk, the barren expanse, all quite fitting, perhaps, given that this week’s State War seemed to be a diaphanous specter of what it usually is. A veritable ghost-town, some might allude it to, lacking only the occasional errant knot of rolling tumbleweed and the chalky, parched skeleton of some unidentifiable animal.
Dynasty was again the victor this week, as many of Empire’s usual suspects were unexpectedly on hiatus. Hamie, a member of Dynasty, remarked that the highest level seen on the Empire side was a mere level 53. It was certainly a dull affair for the higher leveled members of Dynasty, who, like Hamie, were aching for a challenge and a chance to gain more glory.
It was the general sentiment of Dynasty that this State War was effortless to fault. The Empire defense was a fragile egg–the shell cracking easily under the slightest of strains, subsequently shattering, exposing the slight, soft, and helpless interior. Dynasty’s win was certainly no surprise today. Perhaps this is a portent to a pattern; Dynasty will continue its dominance during State Wars, while Empire prevails in Siege Wars. Let’s hope new life is breathed into both, and the victors less predictable.
