Dragonians! Join the Uprising this July, when the portal to the Magmus Volcanoes will finally be opened to gamer-access. 2000 gamers will be invited to face off the toughest version of Lavalon available to date (100 x original HP and 1.5 x Damage Rate of Korean and Chinese versions), as well as a host of newly-buffed monsters and mini-bosses in El Grego.
Details: The portal to Magmus will be unlocked from 00:00 Sat (19th July 2008 GMT +8) during the Alpha II period (17th 每 21st July 2008). Fire extinguisher recommended.
Important News: Alpha II vs CBT
Due to massive architectural differences in the OBT client, the current build is no longer suitable as a Technical assessment of OBT stability. Hence, ※Magmus Rising§ in July 08 will now be an Alpha II test instead of Closed Beta (CBT), with the focus placed on content issues like game-balancing, new job skills, etc. We seek your understanding for pushing the launch date back by 2 days, in order for a content-update patch to be delivered, installed and checked.
A larger-scale CBT (at least 2 times the current content) will be scheduled for a later date. Registrants who signed up for the 15th July CBT with access keys will still be guaranteed access for the rescheduled one. We are unable to fix a concrete date at this point, as there are too many dependencies to be factored in before a final decision.
Some features Barunson is developing right now include Guild War, Castle-Siege, Couple Functions, Player Auctions, Storyline Quests, a PvP arena, as well as completing the maps for all 5 continents.
At current standing, ICE's China OBT (which we will be basing our CBT on) is slated for October 2008, while NCSoft's Korean version will likely only be available earliest December 2008. We will fight to launch ours in 2008, ahead of Korea if possible, but stress that game-readiness is the foremost consideration for Dragonica.
We are sorry to make you wait. But we are not sorry to make you wait for a good game!
P.S. Apologies for the last-minute announcement as we were fighting for minimal changes up until the last possible moment, and appreciate your support so far.
