Despite many players are guess that Diablo 3 will be on consoles, so far there have been no official announcements regarding it.
Several days ago, In an interview from Guardian, Blizzard COO Paul Sams said "doesn't know yet" about Diablo 3 being on consoles. He said it depends on whether "console owners would allow PC players to play against console gamers". Seeking perfection is the eternal theme of Blizzard, and if "developing for multiple platforms you sometimes have to compromise. We aren't willing to compromise."
Recently, according to Eurogamer' report, Blizzard's vice president of game design Rob Pardo has admitted that a console version of Diablo is "theoretically posssible". Pardo said, "I think it's theoretically possible. It would have some control changes that I think you'd have to make... But it's probably, of our major franchises, the one that's most console friendly, for sure."
Maybe it is a speak for "no" to Diablo 3 on PS3, at least not at the same time as the PC and Mac versions. Pardo said. "Target selection is something you're going to lose on console, you're really going to be able to do targeting direction, but not specific targeting."
At last, he told: "Oh, I don't think it would be a redesigned game. Out of StarCraft, Warcraft or WOW, Diablo would be the easiest game to translate. But it would still take a bit of work."
