According to the Vietnam News, the Vietnamese have joined into that cottage industry known as gold farming which is not just in China anymore. Most of Vietnamese gold farmers are making about 100-160 USD a month.

The details are as below:

Online games offer serious money

You no longer have to work for a living in Viet Nam, you can play for one instead. With online games offering rich payouts, people have begun to hire proxies to play on their behalf.

What it means is game addicts with talent can now indulge in their favourite pastime and be paid up to VND2.7 million (160 USD) a month for doing it.

In what is becoming a popular practice in Ha Noi and HCM City, businessmen and others with cash to spare who want their accounts to reach "tycoon" status sign up students and unemployed people.

Dat, a game addict, said he had his own account earlier. But since he didn't have enough money to continue, he sold his account and began playing for other people.

In fact, many people have opened "companies" in Ha Noi and HCM City offering such services and posted notices online. A game company in HCM City's District 7 employs a person to play from 9am to 8pm daily for a monthly salary of VND1.7 million (103 USD).

Youth drawn to 'hanging' library

Children in Tan Ho Co Primary School in Dong Thap are now eager to read after the principal set up a "hanging" library in the school garden.

Nguyen Van Huong hit upon the idea of stringing up colourful shampoo and other plastic bottles and stuffing them with rolled-up books after a visit to the central region where he saw bamboo used similarly.

For the little readers, exploring the tubes and getting out the books to read is a novel and enjoyable experience.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tien, a student, said she used to love skipping rope and other games during the break but now spends most of her time in the library.

At first, the library had around 130 tubes, each with one to three books. Now the number has increased by several times.

Huong also thought about hanging up bamboo tubes but realised the books could get wet if it rained.
