The official website of Everquest II has released a new preview of upcoming Game Update 45, entitled "A Prophet Returns":

There's something going on at the Temple of Life in Qeynos and there's a blight that's spreading through some of the major cities! If you're of good alignment, seek to help those afflicted folks and travel to the Temple of Life to see if you can unravel this mystery!

If you're of an evil alignment, there's a fellow in Gorowyn that follows the Plaguebringer that may be able to explain what's going on. Take note too, with game Update 45, the present event ingame (the Shard of Hate event) shall come to a conclusion. If you're taking part in curing the hate or spreading the hate, please be sure to wrap up those quests while you have time!

Cures for Inquisitors and Templars will see a huge change in dealing with diseases, physical ailments, magical afflictions and elemental scourges! Coming with Update 45, all four of the priest single-target cure spells will be funneled to one all-purpose cure that'll deal with what's afflicting you (or whomever you're helping).

Again, this change only affects those of the priestly classes, so magical cures from casters won't see this change.

By decree of our weaponsmiths across Norrath, there has been a total overhaul to weaponcrafting (this means even some weapons made via woodworking)! Starting with Game Update 45, weaponsmiths and woodworkers will be able to create new improved crafted weapons with better stats and higher damage ratings. These new weapons may also be "imbued" or "blessed" to add further bonuses! This change will not affect existing weapons crafted prior to the Game Update.
