Diving into a well established MMORPG for the first time upon the release of its fourth expansion pack is a daunting task, but we#DY#re not ones to shy away from a challenge here at Jolt. Chances are, there are two types of people reading this review – those who already play Final Fantasy XI and those who don#DY#t [Those are pretty good odds – Ed]. Those who do certainly don#DY#t need any convincing to buy the latest expansion, and those who don#DY#t have the same mammoth task we had: starting from scratch.
Installing the game from scratch on your 360 is a bit of a task in itself. Firstly you have to install the Play Online interface, and then you are asked to type in no less than six registration codes using an on-screen keyboard. We imagine this would be a lot easier with the 360 messenger kit thingumy-jig, or a proper USB keyboard, but we had neither. Anyway, after all of that you can start playing the game proper.
