OnNet USA announced Manga Fighter Grand Opening, an event which will be marked with 3 in-game events that will reward players: Santa's Gift, Rudolph's Event, and Rudolph's Special Event.

The Official Press Release:

San Jose, CA December 21st, 2007. The Grand Opening of MangaFighter was announced today. MangaFighter is a free-to-play third-person shooter mmorpg that introduces gamers to the exciting toy world of Pangaea. Players can choose from one of six unique characters each possessing special features. This unique twist on the traditional first-person shooter game is perfect for teens and parents looking for a break from the blood and gore games that are so pervasive in the industry today.

"MangaFighter is the first game to combine both the third-person shooter elements with anime-style environments and characters. It will revolutionize the third-person shooter game segment within the PC gaming industry," said Kevin Kim, CEO of OnNet USA.

The "Grand Opening" event will be marked with 3 exciting in-game events that will reward players.

The first event is "Santa's Gift" and will be open to players from 12.20.07 until 12.31.07. This event will give MangaFighter players double experience points every time that they play the game.

The second in-game event is "Rudolph's Event" and will run from 12.20.07 until 1.21.07. Players who refer their friends to MangaFighter and have them create an account will be given extra experience points.

"Rudolph's Special Event", the third event (12.20.07-1.21.07) is related to "Rudolph's Event" since twenty people that have the greatest number of referrals will receive the complete set of exclusive MangaFighter action figures. These collectibles were created as part of the Grand Opening celebrations to provide MangaFighter players with a special item to mark this occasion.

Specially created skill cards have also been created for players to use in MangaFighter. "The skill cards offer gamers a unique opportunity to gain special features for their in-game characters unavailable otherwise. We will be distributing these cards through various online and offline promotions during the "Grand Opening" period," said Chris Keswani, Marketing Manager of OnNet USA.
