After knowing that Vivendi has entered into an agreement with Activision which will merge their entertainment business with Activision creating a new company and be called Activision Blizzard, many players are worried that Bilzzard will make changes to its games.

But according to eurogamer, Blizzard said in a statement that "There will be no changes to our games, our websites, our personnel, or our day-to-day operations as a result of the deal."

Blizzard has issued a statement reassuring anxious fans over the future of its games in light of Vivendi's merger with Activision.

The reportedly USD 18.9 billion deal happened at the weekend and saw the two publishers band together under new name Activision Blizzard.

But according to the famed developer, the only effect it will have is on adding more managerial stability and wealth (more golden boats and rivers of jewels) to the equation otherwise everything will work as it always has.

"There will be no changes to our games, our websites, our personnel, or our day-to-day operations as a result of the deal," said Blizzard in statement. "However, this combining of resources will benefit all of the companies involved and will further strengthen Blizzard's ability to continue delivering high-quality content for our players around the world for many years to come."

Blizzard is responsible for gigantic MMO World of Warcraft and has Wrath of the Lich King expansion and StarCraft II in development.

The merger is expected to be complete sometime in the middle of next year, when Activision Blizzard will become the biggest third-party publisher in the world.
