ChinaJoy Organization Committee started the recruitment of the Expo and affiliated activities in 2008 on October 29, 2007. The organization committee formally confirmed the venue and the date for the up coming Expo, Summit Forum, special forums, and agenda of various sub-events of ChinaJoy 2008.

1. The 6th China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference (abbreviated as "ChinaJoy") is considered to coordinate with and to take the opportunity of Olympic Games 2008 for catching the attention from international professionals and media. It is fixed that the Expo will be held on July 17th to 19th 2008 at Shanghai New International Expo Center as well; summit forum and other speical forums will be held at Sofitel Jinjiang Oriental Pudong Shanghai and Shanghai New International Expo Center separately as well.

2. Emblem of ChinaJoy 2008 returns to original nature that reflects features of the Stone Age and Mayan Civilization that always appear in games.
