A player on the World of Warcraft forums said that various video game shops have placed a November 2008 release date for the much-awaited Wrath of the Lich King. Is this an outright admission of when the expansion will be released?

The website of ebgames revealed the release date of Wrath of the Lich King. According to EB games, the expansion will be available on 3th, November, 2008, but is it true?

Blizzard Community Manager Nethaera has given word that this is not an official date yet. They will be announcing its release on their official website when one has been established.

"We haven?t announced a release date as of yet. When we do, you?ll see it up on the official web site here. Retailers have to put some sort of a release date in order to list a game for sale and accept pre-sales for those games. When they do put down a date, it´s generally an educated guess."

Toward this announcement, a poster said" Until BLIZZARD releases an official date, don´t get your hopes up. Any information any website has can quite easily be false, or heck, even purposely drummed up to get people excited and pre-order it from them. "

However, when will Wrath of the Lich King be available? Maybe only Blizzard knows...
