MMOsite.com:Congratulations for DECO Online's official launch on
August 8, 2007. How do you feel the open beta went overall? How many players
have taken part in? What's the feedback?
Ans: Open Beta had its share of ups and downs. We
experienced some delays trying to get the Open Beta service up and running but
we were glad that many players were very supportive of our efforts and were
waiting patiently for Open Beta to start. We had about 6000 players who
signed up to try the game within the first week of Open Beta, a number which
surprised us since we were pretty low-key when it comes to the promotion of the
game and advertising.
MMOsite.com:In overview, what kind of an online world is Deco Online?
What's the storyline?
Ans: DECO Online is set in a fantasy world where
magic thrive and disputes are settled with the blade. The world itself is
magical in nature, with many dimensions being intertwined into one big realm
which we call Unicle. The main storyline revolves around 2 warring human
Nations, Millena and Rain. Their disputes date back to over a thousand years and
only the looming threat posed by monster has abated the intense rivalry between
the two nations, forcing them to reconcile their differences and establishing a
fragile ceasefire agreement. A new source of power called Elda Stones may prove
to be the undoing of the agreement as both Nations vie for control and
possession of the stones.

MMOsite.com:A very old question for you. There are a lot of free MMOs of
fantasy genre on the market. How does your game set itself apart from the
others?
Ans: Well, firstly DECO Online attempts to take
the boredom out of leveling and fighting by introducing a "combo" system in-game
which requires the player to press several keys in succession to complete a
"combo". This is something that is different and unique from many current free
MMOs in the market. We also have a unique pet system which allows Frontiers (
DECO's clan system) to own a shared pet in addition to their own personal pets.
These pets require constant care and nutrition just like a real pet. We believe
these unique DECO Online functions only serve to enhance the player's overall
gameplay experience.
MMOsite.com:Deco Online features two nations (Millena and Rain) and
eight unique classes. How can players choose from them when creating their
character?
Ans: There is a preview function at the character
creation screen where players can preview each character class in detail before
they decide on their character. Those who prefer the use of magic can choose to
side with the Rain Nation. Those who prefer to let their blades or arrows do the
talking can side with the Millena Nation instead.
MMOsite.com:Fame Rate System is a special system in Deco Online. Can
you describe it for our readers? How can we earn fame rates?
Ans: The Fame Rate system is DECO's world
reputation system, where players can earn fame points to increase their
reputation in the game world. Fame rates enable the unlocking of additional
skill points for the player as well as the use of powerful equipment which are
fame dependent. Players can earn fame by completing quests, killing players from
the opposing Nation in battles as well as by participating in fame specific
events organized by us.

MMOsite.com:Deco Online also features an innovative combo-fighting
system. How does this system work? What is combo gauge and how to earn combo
gauge?
Ans: As previously mentioned, the "combo" system
involves some hand-eye coordination where players will have to press several
keys in succession to complete a combo. The required combo key will be shown on
screen and players have to match the key within a limited time before the next
combo key is shown. A successful "combo" chain not only deals additional damage
but also builds up the combo gauge which curves around the player's avatar. Some
higher level skills are only useable if the combo gauge is filled up.
