On 6th September (Beijing Time), the first expansion pack for World of Warcraft The Burning Crusade finally arrived for Chinese players.
Since last October, Chinese WoW hasn´t released any new content and the number of average users for Chinese WoW has dropped from 340,000 in the 4th quarter of 2006 to 300,000 in the 2nd quarter of 2007. The Chinese players have been waiting eagerly for the early arrival of The Burning Crusade expansion.
It is reported within 24 hours of the release of The Burning Crusade in China, a Chinese WoW player with a hunter class has reached level 70, four hours shorter than Gullerbone, a French WoW player who reached level 70 within 28 hours of the English World of Warcraft release on January 16, 2007.
