1: Which kind of business models do you like best? p2p or f2p? Can you tell me the reason?
Loveforever: I like both of them. The thing I dont like is cash shop.. I like the game with best customer support.. If F2P without cash shop has the great customer support I prefer it else I look for a game that is p2p and has good customer support.
MrBadger: I prefer p2p, as it supports the game allowing the developers to improve it and actually keep it running
2: Which MMORPG do you like best? The business model of that MMORPG? And Which its feature attracts you?
Loveforever: Knight Online---F2P but u cant login to the game if you dont pay.. ( U can login if its 03:00 am at Turkey GMT +02:00)
( It has cool pvp system.. The problem is community is really suc.king.. And you have to play as a team in pvp to become the winner. And the most part what i like is you have to be talented on your toon.A skilled mage user with moderate items can make his party rocking. Same for priests... And warriors and rogue after mage and priest. As being ordered for priority list)
Cov / Coh: Pay to play good pvp.. Not many players too... Good customer support. NcSoft rule !! Good pvp. Too many classes / clothes / design etc..
Lineage 2: P2P and again NCSoft with a great game. Good pvp. Hard to make money. Too many botters.
MrBadger: Dofus... it´s p2p with a small f2p area, I like the tactical turn based combat, and enjoy the way professions work within the game
3: How much money you have paid on that MMORPG per month? Which item or service do you purchase most usually?
Loveforever: I purchased game time cards to play.. But i didnt paid.. However the timecards cost 15?/month i think purchased nothing else just game time cards.
To the cash shop, none... Purchased premium service which increase exp gaining rate and give you priority access at enterion to the servers.
MrBadger: the cost of the game is 8:00 per month Cdn, if you pay a monthly rate. up to now I have purchased six and twelve month terms that have a smaller per month rate when calculated out.. but, I´m not sure what that rate is exactly
4: If a game was F2P in OBT, but change to P2P in formal launch, will you leave it and find another F2P game?
Loveforever: well if they didn´t announce before i start playing, that they will change it to p2p.. So I would leave ... If they had announced it and i still started to try, then if i like the game I will pay and play else i will quit.
MrBadger: no, I started Dofus in the tail end of beta on the Rushu server, and changed to p2p as soon as it was available... and my account has been in p2p status since
5: In your opinion, what is the most difference between F2P game and P2P game, will you stick to the game type base your opinion?
Loveforever: there is difference at profit..F2P without in game shop means the developer doesn´t make profit..P2P means they make profit...
There may be differences at quality of game and customer support...I like both...If the game is quality one and community is pleased and customer support is actively working so i dont care if it is p2p or f2p both is good for me..
But a crappy f2p sux imo..So i would prefer p2p instead of a crappy f2p.
MrBadger: In my view, the difference is mainly in potential and scope... a f2p game is at best a hobby for the developer, and there will be little new content released... since few are actually doing the work to make it, the world will have to be small by nature as well... a p2p game will hold interest longer due to more and larger expansions, and almost certainly better overall quality when compard to f2p only games.
According to two opposite opinions, we have to say that both f2p and pvp have advantages and disadvantages. Plays may choose which they like. What about you?
