The Game Developers Conference China (GDC China) took place August 27-29, 2007 at the Shanghai International Convention Center. The conference, which joins the main North American GDC event and its European offshoot, GDC London / GDC Europe, is aimed specifically at promoting and supporting the vast Chinese game development industry.
The Game Developers Conference China announced the addition of two keynote presenters.
Greg Short, SOE´s director of platform product development, will deliver a keynote entitled "Embracing Disruption" for the Online Game Development and Business Track.
Paul Meegan, CEO and co-founder of Epic Games China, will deliver a keynote entitled "The Possibilities and Perils of Production Outsourcing and How it´s Changing the Way Games Are Made" for the Outsourcing and Next Generation games track.
"Greg Short and Paul Meegan, two of the biggest names in the games business, will provide attendees a great perspective of the games market from both a western and Chinese point of view," said GDC China´s Meggan Scavio, senior conference manager. "With our first-class line-up of speakers, combined with the support shown from the developer and publisher community, GDC China is set to become a mainstay of the Chinese games industry calendar."
