WOW Players Claim Compensation for 48-hour Maintenance

The official website of WOW announced that their scheduled weekly maintenance started on Tuesday, August 14. Some realms will be inaccessible during their previously announced 48 hour maintenance for infrastructure optimizations, beginning at 12:01 AM PDT, August 14, and ending at approximately 12:01 AM PDT, August 16. During this time, services such as the Armory or Paid Character Transfers may also be unavailable while these realms are down.

Players reacted differently towards the announcement. Some expressed understanding of this two-day maintenance. They said thats ok as long as they can play on other servers during these 2 days. But some players expressed its unacceptable. The monthly fee of WOW is 15 dollars. Though one dollar is nothing for a single player, considering the huge WOW user base, it can be a stunning number. Many players argued that Blizzard should make compensation to some extent to the affected players. And its fun a player replied in the post saying, right after he registered a WOW 10 day free trial account, Blizzard made this announcement. Isnt it too sad, and too bad?

Maybe its better for Blizzard to discuss it with players before making such a big decision.
