ArenaNet at the Penny Arcade Expo

This year?s Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) game culture celebration in Washington State will have a plethora (yes, a plethora) of Guild Wars events planned that will give you, our fans, an opportunity to get up close and personal with the people who make your favorite game. If you make it to just one show this year, plan on PAX 2007. It will be THE place to mingle, compete, and party with ArenaNet staff and Guild Wars fans.

Compete in the Guild Wars 10K Arena
The Guild Wars 10K Arena at PAX is a 1v1 sealed play tournament offering ?10,000 in prizes. Register to compete in one of the 8 scheduled fights and earn your spot in Sunday?s 16-player finals. Find the full rules for this event in the competitive section.

See the multimedia "Art of Guild Wars" exhibit
This PAX-exclusive exhibit features previously unreleased concept art spanning the entire history of Guild Wars.

Collect signed Guild Wars art from ArenaNet artists
ArenaNet?s talented artists will be on-hand at the booth all weekend long to chat with fans and sign prints of their artwork for you to collect and keep. Drop by for free art and candid conversations about how these amazing artists got into the industry.

Bring your portfolio to be reviewed by ArenaNet artists
If you?ve ever wondered if you have the chops to create art for the gaming industry, this is your chance to find out. Sign up in the booth to have an ArenaNet artist review your portfolio. Don?t miss this opportunity to show off your work and receive constructive feedback from a professional artist.

Show your spirit in Community Contests
Gaile Gray and the community team will hold fan contests for fun and prizes at the booth. More details to come.

Visit the booth for your free Series 2 skill pins. These are in limited supply, so pick them up fast and wear your favorite character build. (Yes, Series 2 does have Meteor Shower!)

Eat, drink, and pwn n00bz with ArenaNet staff Saturday night at our after-hours party
Eat free food and accumulate swag (while supplies last, of course), while hobnobbing with the people who make your favorite game. What more could you ask for? Well, you?ll also get the chance to challenge ArenaNet staff members to games of skill and maybe even snag a Guild Wars: Eye of the North t-shirt before the night is over.

This party is limited to ArenaNet staff and invited guests for the first hour. Watch for a website announcement soon heralding our second "SuperFan Contest" for your chance to get your name on the special VIP guest list! After the exclusive early entry, the floodgates will open to all PAX partiers for an additional two hours! Details about how to score your early-admission ticket coming soon!
