San Jose, CA May 18th, 2006 – OnNet USA announced today that it has licensed FishingChamp, the 3-D fishing online game, for the worldwide market (excluding Korea and Japan). This free-to-play online game allows players to competitvely fish against each other in a realistic 3-D world. Players are able to earn in-game currency by fishing and also by selling their catch to in-game vendors. FishingChamp was developed by BeTo Interactive and was nominated as the game of the month in October 2006.
The licensing agreement between OnNet and BeTo Interactive involves both a licensing fee as well as royalty payments.
The Closed Beta version is scheduled to be released early June 2007 and the commercial launch will follow soon thereafter.
