Rapid Reality Studios announced to Extend the open beta phase for its first MMO, Phylon.
Rapid Reality is announcing an extension to the testing phase for its first MMO, Phylon. Armed with a wealth of recommendations and gamer insights from the open beta on IGN, the game studio will take more time to incorporate gamer feedback into the game before it is available for commercial release rather than incorporate the feedback in the form of game patches and expansion packs down the road.
Tracy Spaight, the COO of Rapid Reality stated, ˇ°Our beta community provided us with excellent feedback and suggestions for new features and improvements. In the coming weeks, weˇŻll be busily incorporating many of these ideas into the commercial release. Although this will push back the Phylon release date, we want to give gamers the best gaming experience possible.ˇ±
New Phylon game features include:
Four additional battle arenas.
Redesigning Nexus (a 3-D graphical lobby) to make it easy to get into the battle arenas. It?s also where players do their banking, shopping and socializing.
More player-configured items; players will be able to design their own weapons on the Phylon website by assembling modular parts and adjusting slider bars on attributes. Once created, the weapon will appear in their bank vault in the game.
Pseudo Dev Accounts: Players will be able to create and implement quests and other content directly into the game.
Faction System and Squads: Players will be able to join one of eight battle factions and team up in squads.
New User Interface: the current HUD is being redesigned for easier navigation.
Phylon (from the Greek Phylon, meaning tribe) combines the fast-paced action of third person shooter with the persistence and depth of an MMO.
